They work alongside our Advisors in ensuring your portfolio stays within the limits of your risk tolerance, investment objective, and that it continually works toward your financial goals.

Brian C. Merrill
Senior Vice President & Chief Investment Officer
30 Years in the Financial Service Industry
Brian was born and raised in Muncie, IN, where he received a BS in Finance from the Ball State University Honors College. He started his investment career in 1995 as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Officer, specializing in portfolio management of high-net-worth and retirement portfolios. Brian joined Harbour Trust in 2008 as an Investment Officer, was promoted to Chief Investment Officer in 2013, and Senior Vice President in 2018. He manages the firm’s Investment Division, specializing in the management of high net worth, retirement, and institutional portfolios. Brian serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee, overseeing asset allocation strategy and individual asset selections for the firm. He also serves as the Company Information Security Officer and engages in strategic planning for the firm. Brian passed the CFA level I examination in 1998. He serves as president of the Board of the Michigan City Community Scholarship Fund. Brian, his wife Jennifer, and their 2 daughters reside in Michigan City.

Jack Bobillo, CFP®

Jack grew up in Long Beach. He went on to play baseball in college at both Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Chicago State University. He graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management. After college, Jack pursued his dream of playing professional baseball for the Trois-Rivieres Aigles in the Can-Am Independent League.
Jack joined Harbour Trust in 2016 as a part of the Investment Department. He became a CFP® professional in September of 2020 and oversees financial planning for the company's clients. When he is not working, Jack enjoys playing golf, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family. He is the Vice President of the Marquette High School Board of Directors where he attended high school. He loves living and working in Michigan City with his wife Stacy and they look forward to a future in the place they have always called home.

Ryan Belt
Investment Officer
3 Years in the Financial Service Industry
Ryan was born and raised in Waukesha, WI. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he earned his BBA in Finance with an emphasis on Investments in 2023. During his time at UWW, Ryan was a member of the Capital Markets Club and participated in the Applied Investments Program, serving as an Equity Analyst for the school’s Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF). In 2023, Ryan joined Harbour Trust as an Investment Securities Trader and has since advanced to the role of Investment Officer, where he is responsible for executing trades and managing client portfolios. He is also a member of the Investment Committee, where he assists in implementing asset allocation strategies and individual asset selection for the firm. Ryan is currently pursuing further education in the Investment industry as he is a CFA Level 2 candidate.
Outside of work when he’s not studying, Ryan enjoys exercising, spending quality time with friends and family, rooting for the Packers, and creating new memories with his girlfriend, Lydia.

Ross Miller
Portfolio Manager
16 Years in the Financial Service Industry
Ross grew up in Kansas and received a BS in Finance from Drake University. He started his career in 2008 in institutional asset management, working within investment performance, analytics, and reporting. Ross then moved to the East Coast to work within the trust and investment management industry. Ross specialized in high-net-worth portfolios, focusing on asset allocation, fund management, and security selection for the investment program.
Ross joined Harbour Trust in 2025, bringing 16 years of experience in investments, wealth management, investment research, and asset allocation strategies. Ross is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). Outside of work, Ross enjoys playing hockey and golf and officiating youth hockey while also spending time with his wife, Jessie, and their little dog buddy, Oscar.
